Ukrainians Conquering The Frontiers Of Space

Featured Article

Space flight today is far different from the Space Race between the United States and the U.S.S.R. in the 1950s and 1960s. Back then, the Ukrainian-born rocket engineer and designer, Serhiy Pavlovich Korolyov (a.k.a. Sergei Korolev) masterminded the successful launches of Sputnik and Vostok 1 projects. Sputnik was a beach ball-sized satellite launched on October 4, 1957 and Vostok 1 was a Soviet spacecraft that launched the first human being into space on April 12, 1961. The Soviet Union maintained his anonymity allegedly because of the key role he played in these projects. This anonymity continued for decades even though the “KGB knew that there was really no need to keep his name secret”, say’s Khrushchev’s son Sergei in the October 2007 issue of the guardian.co.uk in an article entitled “How Russia lost the moon.” Others maintain it was because of his ethnic background. Many information databases still refer to Korolyov and prefer to think of him as “Soviet” (which is frequently and mistakenly interpreted as Russian). However, Korolyov himself registered his nationality as Ukrainian when he attended the Kyiv Polytechnic Institute in 1924, says the 1973 journal “Forum” (A Ukrainian Review) in their article about “The Ukrainian Who Conquered Space.”

PR Log (Press Release) – Dec 18, 2009 – A Groom Wedding Speech is generally feared & dreaded. Preparation of the speech are usually procrastinated on until days before the Big Day. So what goes through the head of the groom? Things like: "Just what am I supposed to say?" or "I'm so scared of saying something stupid that will embarrass my wife & parents!"

Don't sweat it okay! It's not that difficult when you've got some guidance. When you follow the three following steps your groom wedding speech will come together easily.

The easy way to Groom Speeches:

STEP1:

*Stand up straight & smile! (This will take you a long way & let everyone relax)
*Introduce yourself. (Many of the guests, especially on the brides side, will probably not have met you before)
*Welcome the guests and thank them for attending your wedding.
*Thank the attendants in the bridal party for their contribution to the wonderful wedding.

STEP2:

*Now is the time to let it all out & tell your wife how beautiful she looks & how happy you are right now.
*Give a brief history of your relationship story between you & your bride. For example, where you first met & so on. This may seem unimportant to you, but remember no one knows your story & everyone likes to hear this kind of thing. Your job here is, in effect, to introduce the yourself & your bride to those who don't really know you both all that well.
*Thank her again for putting up with you (jokingly) Funny wedding speech - everyone enjoys a bit of humour)

STEP3:

*Thank everyone who participated in making this day such a wonderful experience.
*You should have maid a list of everyone before... example: the pastor; the catering team etc...
*Thank your best man & the father of the bride for their speeches.
*Get other details to make note of whiling giving thanks to people from the brides parents as they would have done most of the organizing.

Be sure to prepare your speech & all it's content well ahead of time. This will allow time for plenty of practice, and revisions if necessary. Don't be embarrassed to use written notes or cue cards when delivering your speech & toast.
