Ukrainians Conquering The Frontiers Of Space

Featured Article

Space flight today is far different from the Space Race between the United States and the U.S.S.R. in the 1950s and 1960s. Back then, the Ukrainian-born rocket engineer and designer, Serhiy Pavlovich Korolyov (a.k.a. Sergei Korolev) masterminded the successful launches of Sputnik and Vostok 1 projects. Sputnik was a beach ball-sized satellite launched on October 4, 1957 and Vostok 1 was a Soviet spacecraft that launched the first human being into space on April 12, 1961. The Soviet Union maintained his anonymity allegedly because of the key role he played in these projects. This anonymity continued for decades even though the “KGB knew that there was really no need to keep his name secret”, say’s Khrushchev’s son Sergei in the October 2007 issue of the guardian.co.uk in an article entitled “How Russia lost the moon.” Others maintain it was because of his ethnic background. Many information databases still refer to Korolyov and prefer to think of him as “Soviet” (which is frequently and mistakenly interpreted as Russian). However, Korolyov himself registered his nationality as Ukrainian when he attended the Kyiv Polytechnic Institute in 1924, says the 1973 journal “Forum” (A Ukrainian Review) in their article about “The Ukrainian Who Conquered Space.”

How to Write Poetry - Publish Poetry

PRLog (Press Release) – Aug 24, 2009 – Writing poetry and publishing poetry can be fun. Most poetry is of a personal nature. People usually write poetry about their own wonderful experiences or not so wonderful experiences. If you want to write poetry, take a look around you. There are plenty of ideas all around you. I would suggest you go through the park for a stroll with pen and paper on hand. Pay attention and try to write down things you have observed like; the trees, the leaves, the people walking around, the color of the sky, things that spark your imagination.

One of the best ways to get ideas to write poetry is by observing others. Write down some of the conversation you hear, what they are wearing, lovers holding hands or lovers in a quarrel. The ideas are to pay attention and take as much notes as you can. You will not be writing your poetry at this time.

You can browse through old pictures that can spark a blissful moment in your life or a not so blissful moment if your life. You can also go through magazines to come up with ideas about your photos. The same thing can be said for listening to music. Certain types of music, when you close your eyes, can take you to a whole new place that can open the flood gate of your imagination and allow the words to just flow on paper.

Now that you have found ways to become creative to write poetry, one would have to decide what types of poetry I should write. If you are not sure of the style of poetry writing, http://www.ipublishabook.com/How-To-Write-Poetry.html  will list them to give you a better understanding.

Haiku:
Haiku comes in many different styles. A haiku can be three lines long with five syllables on the first line, seven syllables on the second line and five syllables on the third line. Haiku’s are not the easiest poetry to write.

Narrative Poems:
One of my favorite ways to write poetry is to write narrative poems. These stories should be short with a beginning, middle and conclusion.

Lyrical Poems:
Lyrical poems sound very similar to songs. The lyrics are put together in a rhyming pattern.

A Sonnet: Sonnets are lyrical songs. Sonnets are long and dramatic, tell a story.

Free Verse: Free verses do not have to rhyme. They can be short or long with any style you want.

Writing poetry and publish poetry can be fun. The styles listed by http://www.ipublishabook.com/How-To-Write-Poetry.html are only some basic forms of poetry. Decide what subject that interests you. Write a first draft and then go away from the poetry for a while and come back with clear eyes so it can have the proper feel and love. Have fun writing poetry.
