| Please take a minute to email or call the number and please share this information with friends and family as it is time-critical. Thanks, Andrea Zharovsky COMMUNITY ACTION ITEM! The Philadelphia area audience has a unique opportunity to view an award winning 90-minute documentary, Orange Revolution which is being offered free of charge to local public broadcasting stations in the USA by the Executive Program Services. Orange Revolution, a production of the York Zimmerman Inc. film company, tells the compelling story through the eyes and voices of the participants of that historic event. The PBS affiliates in several major cities have agreed to air this film to mark the fifth anniversary of the Orange Revolution. Other PBS stations have not made the commitment yet. The assistance or our community is needed to persuade our local WHYY station to air the documentary in January 2010. As the scheduling for that time period is being made in November, it is important that we contact the WHYY representative. Christine Dempsey this week via e-mail: cdempsey@whyy.org or by telephone: 215-351-2072 to request the airing of the film. Every call or e-mail is critical. Your assistance is also needed to organize the communities in Boston, Atlanta, New York, Seattle, Portland, Oregon and several cities in California. Please ask anyone that you know in those areas to contact the local PBS station representative requesting the airing of the documentary. For more information on the film Orange Revolution please visit the company's website at yorkzim.com or OrangeRevolutionMovie.com. It will not happen without your help. Vera M. Andryczyk |
